Here We Go Again

Greg developed another pneumocephalus. The patch between the brain and ethmoid sinus is not holding. His condition became critical yesterday afternoon, but he is stable now. CT showed this pocket getting larger. He will have another craniotomy in the morning to repair the patch. The surgeon is still optimistic. And that is where we are at right now. He is not even really aware of what is happening. Hopefully, my next post will be good news.

  1. Oh Randi, I keep thinking that when I see a post from you it’s going to be good news, and I’m sure you keep hoping the same. I hope you are taking care of yourself, too, and getting plenty of rest. Best wishes and lots of hugs.

  2. This must be very frightening for you, thank heavens Greg has no idea. As the surgeon is optimistic, so should you be, he knows what he’s talking about (even if we can only have a slight understanding of it all).
Take care, be strong and get enough rest to look after yourself as I bet whilst all the attention has been on him, it hasn’t been doing you much good.
    Take care,
    With Love,
    Sally

  3. I’m so sorry Randi. I’m hoping Greg turns the corner to getting better very soon. Still sending prayers for you both.

  4. I keep thinking good thoughts for you and Greg. Here’s to the next report being a good one! Hang in there and take care of yourself.

  5. Keeping up with your posts – thank you for letting us know what’s going on. Will continue my prayers for both of you. Hope you can rest some.

  6. Randi, I have been praying for you and your DH and will continue to do so. I hope that good news is coming your way soon. Sending lots of supportive hugs to you. Stay strong Sista!

  7. I’m praying for good news too, Randi. God is in control, though we often don’t understand His plan. He sees the big picture. Hugs and prayers,

  8. I think and pray for you many times each day. Thank you for keeping us informed as you can. We are all thinking positive thoughts that “This to shall pass”—

  9. Randi, I got your email that you are at Covenant. I can’t get my email to send out while I’m out of town. Are you in Lubbock? If you are in Amarillo, I would love to come sit with you. Shoot me another email!

Thanks and hope things are getting better. Tina

  10. Randi, hang in there. Take care of yourself and know that your prayer posse is hard at it and won’t let up until he’s home and recovered. ((((Hugs))))

  11. Randi, I’ve been reading about your ordeal on MQR and just wanted to say that I hope your husband is on the mend soon. As a nurse I can fully understand what you are all going through, it sounds like he’s had everything that could possibly go wrong happen to him. I hope he heals soon and you can be home again with this just a bad memory. Take care.
